Abstract

The main goal of this essay is to raise awareness about visual impairment and to assess whether alternatives and multisensory resources in different contexts can be applied to the architectural design process to make it more accessible for all types of users. The study gathered proposals and opinions through interviews with people with visual impairment in order to identify the barriers they encounter in their environment. The final results highlight the most common barriers across interviews, aiming to contribute to a more inclusive an accessible society for everyone.
