Abstract

This Final Degree Project presents the design and development of a mobile application aimed at learning Catalan Sign Language (LSC), with the objective of contributing to communicative inclusion between deaf and hearing people. The project arises from the lack of interactive digital resources specifically focused on LSC and proposes an accessible, intuitive and gamified solution that allows users to progressively initiate their learning process. The application includes a sign dictionary structured by categories, guided lessons and educational games that reinforce acquired knowledge through immediate feedback mechanisms and motivational systems. The development was carried out following an agile methodology adapted to an individual project, using Flutter as the front-end technology and Firebase as a cloud-based backend. The result is a functional, scalable and user-oriented multiplatform application that applies the knowledge acquired during the Degree in Computer Engineering and provides an educational tool with a positive social impact.
