Prevenir/reducir el desperdicio de alimentos

Abstract

En este artículo su autor trata el tema del desperdicio de alimentos. En primer lugar, aborda la distinción conceptual entre “pérdida” y “desperdicio” alimentario, y revisa las acciones emprendidas desde las instituciones públicas tanto a nivel mundial (Agenda 2030), como de la UE. En segundo lugar, analiza la magnitud del problema del desperdicio de alimentos, prestando especial atención al caso español. En tercer lugar, presenta los dos enfoques teóricos desde los que se ha abordado este problema (el del comportamiento planificado y el de la motivación oportunidades-habilidades), para finalmente proponer, a modo de reflexiones finales, algunas posibles medidas que puedan minimizarlo.
