This project focuses on the study of the territory shaped by the Sió river valley, which crosses the counties of Urgell and Segarra. The main objective is to identify, analyse, and enhance the resources that can enrich this rural environment. The research proposes a new perspective that undestands landscape as a cultural construct, resulting from the continuous interaction between human activity and the natural environment. Grounded in a theoretical framework that defines key concepts such as “cultural landscape” and “heritage parks”, the study incorporates the analysis of the three relevant case studies: the LLobregat river corridor, the Tramuntana mountain range, and the Seven Faces of Pedraforca. These references offer valuable strategies that can be adapted to the context of the Sió valley. The study begins with a historical and territorial approach, identifying the transformations experienced by the landscape - particularly those resulting from the implementation of the Urgell and Segarra-Garrigues irrigation canals - and highlighting the importance of heritage rooted in traditional dryland agriculture. A detailed inventory of both landscape and architectural heritage is carried out, alongside an analysis of protected areas within the Natura 2000 network and ecological value of the Sió river and its associated ecosystems. Finally, the project proposes a set of valorisation mechanisms for the resources identified, aiming to contribute to the revitalisation of the territory. Through the intelligent management of natural and cultural assets, the study develops a territorial narrative capable of strengthening local identity and promiting social and economic dynamism in the region.

El present treball se centra en l’estudi del territori que conforma la vall del riu Sió, que travessa les comarques de l’Urgell i la Segarra. L’objectiu principal és identificar, analitzar i afavorir tots els recursos capaços d’enriquir aquest entorn rural. Es proposa una nova mirada que consideri el paisatge com una construcció cultural, fruit de la interacció entre l’ésser humà i el medi natural. A partir d’un marc teòric que defineix conceptes claus com el “paisatge cultural” o els “parcs patrimonials”, el treball es complementa amb l’anàlisi de tres casos d’estudi referents, com el projecte del riu Llobregat, la Serra de Tramuntana i les set cares del Pedraforca. Aquests tres casos permeten entendre i plantejar estratègies aplicables a l’àmbit d’estudi. L’estudi s’inicia amb una aproximació històrica i territorial, identificant les transformacions que ha experimentat el territori, especialment el paisatge a través de la introducció dels Canals d’Urgell i Segarra-Garrigues, i aprofundint en la importància d’un patrimoni fortament vinculat a l’agricultura de secà. Es desenvolupa un inventari detallat dels recursos patrimonials, tant paisatgístics com arquitectònics, i s’analitza el valor de les zones protegides dins la Xarxa Natura 2000 i la riquesa natural del riu Sió, així com els seus ecosistemes associats. Finalment, el treball proposa mecanismes de valorització de tots els elements analitzats, com una eina de revitalització del territori. A través d’una gestió intel·ligent dels actius naturals i culturals es planteja un relat territorial capaç de reforçar la identitat local i dinamitzar socialment i econòmicament el territori.
