Creación de un escenario modular en Unreal Engine 4

Abstract

Este Trabajo de final de grado se centrará en la creación de un entorno modular para un videojuego. De este modo se crearán una serie de piezas de manera que se podrán reutilizar diversas veces para crear un escenario, pero manteniendo un carácter propio para cada zona. Los entornos modulares son utilizados en los videojuegos que tienen mundos muy abiertos o transcurren en espacios uniformes y ordenados, ya que es un proceso de desarrollo que ayuda a acortar los tiempos de producción. Por lo tanto, el objetivo será la creación de dichos elementos para su posterior montaje, realizando el modelaje, la retopología y las UV’s y haciendo también uso de la librería Quixel y el Market Place de Unreal Engine, destacados por su amplio contenido de texturas y assets basados en la fotogrametría. Una vez creados, se montará el escenario planificado en el motor de videojuegos Unreal Engine 4. A partir de la creación de este entorno tridimensional modular, se estudiará el entendimiento del desarrollo de estos escenarios y comprender mejor el proceso de creación de los videojuegos y del modelaje.
