In a global context where sustainability has become a priority, the construction industry faces the challenge of reducing its environmental impact and moving towards more circular models. The reuse of materials, such as structural elements and industrial by products, emerges as a key strategy to reduce carbon emissions, reduce the extraction of raw materials and promote the circular economy. In this framework, the DRASTIC project, funded by the Horizon Europe program, seeks to lead the transformation of the sector through innovative solutions that integrate sustainability, economic viability and circularity. Through the collaboration of 23 partners from eight European countries, DRASTIC develops and validates practical strategies in five demonstrators, promoting a comprehensive approach to the decarbonization of the European housing stock towards 2050. The objective of this work is to evaluate the structural reliability of a steel warehouse built with reused steel elements. Since reused steel elements exhibit initial geometric imperfections and different levels of residual stresses than new structural products, the reliability of structures built with these types of elements may differ from the requirements prescribed in current codes.
