Relación e impacto del diseño con la neurorrehabilitación

Abstract

La neuroplasticidad celular es un concepto que se ha acuñado por profesionales del área de la rehabilitación motora y cognitiva para establecer una regeneración neuronal del individuo a través de la interacción activa con el ambiente. Bajo este contexto se han desarrollado dispositivos los cuales ayudan en esta tarea de recuperación. Esta revisión del estado de la técnica tiene como objetivo relacionar estudios neurocientíficos y tecnologías actualmente encargadas de generar un vínculo eficiente entre el terapeuta y el paciente para el tratamiento neurorrehabilitador, para así determinar una cabida del diseño en este ámbito. Posterior a contextualizar el positivo efecto en pacientes del uso de órtesis en terapia, se seleccionaron cuatro productos diseñados específicamente para tratar lesiones cerebrales diversas. La recopilación de información determinó que existe un mercado emergente y en crecimiento de investigaciones aplicadas que promueven la reactivación del entorno personal del paciente mediante dispositivos de asistencia y rehabilitación activa. El artículo establece una relación de pertinencia en el desarrollo de innovación en sistemas de neurorrehabilitación que abarquen a población existente en países con bajos y medianos ingresos, así mismo, plantea a los diseñadores en un rol de eje articulador del área creativa con la medicina
