Disseny conceptual d'un habitatge autosostenible a Mart

Abstract

This work proposes the conceptual design of a self-sustaining house on Mars, adapted to the conditions of the red planet and capable of accommodating four people for a year. The design has scientific objectives, such as gaining new knowledge about Mars that will help us better understand Earth's past and future, as well as the possible existence of life outside our planet. In addition, it also has social objectives, such as promoting the expansion of the human species to other parts of the Universe. The work is divided into several stages, all of them with their own mission. First, two studies are carried out to expand the field of knowledge: one on the most relevant characteristics of Mars and the other on self-sustainability in a home. Next, a conceptualization phase is developed, where the target audience, both the interior and exterior characteristics of the house and its location are defined. A comparison is also made with similar homes and a subsequent ideation that leads to the final design of the house. The final result of the project includes the general rendering of the proposed housing and all the parts that make it up, the analysis of the environmental and social implications and its budget. The work culminates with the general conclusions and a discussion on how it could continue in the future. 2
