Abstract

The present work addresses the problem of orthosis rejection in patients with equinus deformity, commonly associated with neurological conditions that limit their mobility. The objective is to design an anti-equinus orthosis that guarantees comfort and ease of use, especially for people with reduced mobility. The hypothesis states that an ergonomic design, with one-hand closure and incorporating personalized orthopedic insoles, will minimize rejection and improve treatment adherence. The main objectives are to design a functional and comfortable orthosis, using digital modeling and computer simulations to validate its effectiveness. At this stage, no testing will be performed on real patients. The aim is to provide a practical and aesthetically pleasing solution to improve the quality of life of patients with clubfoot secondary to neurological pathology. This work contributes to the field of rehabilitation and orthopedic solutions, offering an innovative alternative to conventional orthoses. It is expected to have a positive impact on treatment adherence and improvement in the gait of these patients.
