Abstract

The following document will detail a project to design a three-axis manipulator (XYZ) with an autonomous fast-change system for its tooling as a Degree Final Project of a degree in Mechanical Engineering. The intention is to design an automatic and flexible system but cheaper than the current alternatives. The work describes the processes that have been followed to design the machine, its design as well as a budget of the manufacturing costs of the design. It starts by doing a study of the alternatives that currently exist in the market to cover the same functions and what is the possible market niche that could cover the proposed design
