Disseny d'un microprocessador en una FPGA basat en màquines algorítmiques

Abstract

En el present projecte es proposa desenvolupar un processador a través de la metodologia de màquines algorítmiques. Posteriorment, s’implementa en una FPGA per validar el funcionament del disseny. L’arquitectura del set d’instruccions escollida és RISC-V. Més concretament, el mòdul RV32I on implementem les 37 instruccions més importants, creant una màquina de Turing. En aquest treball es desenvolupa la metodologia de màquines algorítmiques. Primerament generem un pseudocodi que descrigui el processador. Posteriorment, generem les unitats de recurs amb les que treballarem (ALU, registres, extensor de signe...). Aquestes són agrupades i connectades amb la unitat de càlcul. Finalment, generem una unitat de control, que es dedica a coordinar les senyals de control per a que la unitat de càlcul es comporti de forma desitjada. En el pas final, s’ha implementat i validat aquest disseny en una FPGA Artix-7, més concretament en la placa de desenvolupador CMOD A7.
