Abstract

Avui dia, vivim en una situació d'emergència climàtica i ens hi hem d'adaptar. Des de l'arquitectura hi ha diverses maneres d'actuar. En aquest treball plantejo la utilització de materials zero, en aquest cas la fusta. Estudiant la viabilitat de la seva producció, analitzant i investigant les seves propietats i la seva utilització en diferents àmbits i projectes arquitectònics. Podent detectar un seguit d'estratègies comunes en aquest tipus d'arquitectura. Tanmateix, diversos punts febles s'han de tenir en compte a l'hora de treballar amb aquest material. Finalment, es proposa un projecte personal el qual neix arran de l'estudi de diferents casos analitzats prèviament, a mode de primera aproximació a la construcció amb aquest material.

Hoy en día, vivimos en una situación de emergencia climática y debemos adaptarnos a esta. Desde la arquitectura hay varias maneras de actuar. En este trabajo planteo la utilización de materiales zero, en este caso la madera. Estudiando la viabilidad de su producción, analizando e investigando las propiedades de este y su utilización en distintos ámbitos y proyectos arquitectónicos. Pudiendo detectar una serie de estrategias comunes en este tipo de arquitectura. Asimismo, varios puntos débiles a tener en cuenta al trabajar con este material. Finalmente, se propone un proyecto personal el cual nace a raíz del estudio de los distintos casos analizados previamente, a modo de primera aproximación a la construcción con este material.

Nowadays, we live in a climate emergency situation and we must adapt to it. From architecture there are several ways to act. In this work I propose the use of zero materials, in this case wood. Studying the viability of its production, analysing and investigating its properties and its use in different environments and architectural projects. Being able to detect a series of common strategies in this type of architecture. Also, several weaknesses to consider when working with this material. Finally, a personal project is proposed which is born from the study of the different cases previously analysed, as a first approximation to the construction with this material.
