This project is about the creation of a mobile application for the management of different actions that can be carried out by a user who circulates along a cycle lane developed with ICT technologies. Thanks to the use of these technologies within the cycle lane environment, we are able to improve and promote this type of bicycle transport, thus contributing to environmental protection. In this work we have collaborated with the research centre CIMNE, specifically with its ICT department, for the development of this application, which is part of an existing project called BICISENDAS that deals with the creation of a new generation of intelligent bicycle lanes. The main objective of the Bicisendas project is the development of new bike lanes that will integrate new technologies from multiple sectors to improve comfort, safety, environment and communications in the bike lane environment, and thus contribute to promoting sustainable transport. In the mobile application that has been developed for android, users will be able to use different tools that will help to improve their experience within the Bicisendas environment, being able to start their own routes, see points of interest on the map and notify of possible incidents that arise in the lanes such as damage to the roads. On the other hand, this application will act as an intermediary between the different cycle lane managers. This project has helped me to learn how a development team works from the inside, to deal with deadlines and a lot of meetings to discuss results and to learn a lot in an autonomous way improving my programming skills.
