Abstract

In this project, an explanation is first made about telemetry and the world around it, passing through its history, the state of art, and others. Secondly, a study is done on the application of telemetry in a competition kart, where a description of the device used is done with the corresponding software. Telemetry is a technology that allows the measurement and remote control of physical or chemical variables through data transferred to a control plant. Shipping information to the operator in a telemetry system is usually done via wireless communication, although it can also be done by other media (telephone, computer networks, optical fiber, etc.). Telemetry systems receive the instructions and data required to operate from a control center or from an Internet viewing platform. The word karting refers to the competition of karts, so first we will define what a kart is. A kart is a single-seat motor vehicle, with no roof, suspensions, or bodywork, but with four aligned wheels. The two front wheels control the direction, and the rear wheels transmit the engine power. Because of the characteristics of a kart, we have karting, the discipline of motor racing that is practiced with this vehicle, is usually the first type of competition that aspiring pilots participate in at an early age. Karting circuits have a length of between 600 and 1700 meters in length and a width of between 8 and 15 meters.
