The Resource Constrained RTVP

Abstract

La obtención de secuencias equilibradas (fair sequencing scheduling) ha demostrado ser útil en multitud de campos: servicios de mantenimiento de maquinaria, manufacturas o sistemas computacionales entre otros. Este trabajo presenta un nuevo problema basado en el RTVP (Response Time Variability Problem) denominado rcRTVP (Resource Constrained RTVP) cuyo objetivo es minimizar la variabilidad en el tiempo entre los instantes en que se secuencian tareas o trabajos considerando la disponibilidad de recursos compartidos. Dado que el problema a resolver carece de literatura previa, en primer lugar se formaliza para posteriormente presentar los primeros procedimientos de resolución. En concreto, se diseñan un modelo de programación lineal entero-mixto (MILP) y una heurística. También se han llevado a cabo múltiples experimentos computacionales que ponen a prueba la efectividad de los mismos en diferentes escenarios. De los procedimientos de resolución propuestos, la heurística consigue resolver de forma óptima la mayoría de escenarios generados, sobresaliendo en ejemplares del problema de mayor tamaño, en las que el MILP no es capaz de ofrecer tan si quiera soluciones factibles. Sin embargo, algunas de las situaciones más restringidas solo son resueltas por el MILP, y en función del tamaño del ejemplar el tiempo de ejecución se dispara. Por este motivo, se proponen como futuras vías de investigación el empleo de procedimientos metaheurísticos o la incorporación de procedimientos de búsqueda local.
