Abstract

This project was born from the collaboration with the Oasiurbà association, a non-profit organization that works to improve the living conditions of the neighborhood by guaranteeing the right to decent housing. The main objective of this work is to install a series of sensors to be able to determine the thermal, acoustic and air quality conditions of different floors in the Raval area, in Barcelona. Thermohygrometers, air quality sensors, 3-channel temperature recorders, sound level meters and heat flow sensors have been used for this. With these sensors we have been able to obtain the temperature inside different rooms on each flat, the relative humidity, the CO2 concentration, the noise levels and the heat flux on the wall that faces the interior for each flat studied. From these measured data and the outdoor data provided by the meteorological service from Catalonia, we have also been able to determine the wet-bulb temperature, the thermal sensation inside the flat and the thermal resistance of the exterior walls.
