Abstract

Traditional travel suitcases have one purpose: to move the user belongs from point A to B. Behind this activity a myriad of events and experiences come to the user that span from using his/her strength to move it all the way to its provisional stowage place (car, train, plain, hotel, etc.). Nowadays, the most common format of suitcase is that with wheels due it's mobility benefits. Easiness to move around and transport which is provided by the rotation of the wheels. Such system has not evolved much since its adoption. The innovation has been mostly limited to optimizing the wheel materials or the number of wheels used. The present investigation has as an objective to produce a design concept that helps to solve and improve the system deficiencies by adding suspension into the concept. The present project departs from research, bench marking, patents and use the already available solution concepts. The present project unfolds the research process, best practices and patents that justify and propose a solution to the market needs.
