Arquitectura Sismo-resistente

Abstract

El trabajo consta de una primera parte teórica donde se estudia el fenómeno sísmico y qué consecuencias tiene para los edificios. Mediante el estudio de algunos métodos constructivos tradicionales e históricos de zonas sísmicamente activas y, los métodos y requerimientos contemporáneos, se obtienen las características necesarias para poder proyectar un edificio resistente al sismo. Tras el estudio teórico, plantea un análisis práctico del comportamiento que han tenido algunos edificios ante el sismo y se deducen que características son beneficiosas y cuáles no. A continuación, se recogen todas las conclusiones e hipótesis teóricas en un análisis comparativo de los distintos métodos tradicionales, así como los contemporáneos, para intentar deducir cuales de las características planteadas son más importantes y porqué. Finalmente se realiza un análisis comparativo de los distintos edificios estudiados en el análisis práctico para intentar aclarar qué diferencias hay realmente entre edificios con buen comportamiento y los de mal comportamiento. Por último, se sintetizan los resultados obtenidos durante los análisis en unas conclusiones que confirman las hipótesis teóricas planteadas durante el trabajo.
