Enginyeria gràfica i disseny mecànic d’un motor Wankel

Abstract

La màquina dissenyada és formada per la unitat de potència d’un motor Wankel 13B de Mazda, la qual té dos rotors de 654 centímetres cúbics cadascun, les quatre bugies dels dos rotors, els tubs d’admissió i els tubs d’escapament. Com a resultat obtenim un conjunt que té unes dimensions aproximades de 40 centímetres d’alçada per 40 de longitud i 40 d’amplada, ja que aquest tipus de motors tenen una forma de tot el conjunt semblant a un cub, i una massa que hauria de ser d’uns 160 kilograms, encara que aquesta dada és orientativa per les modificacions del disseny.

Objecte d’estudi pedagògic per a la reproducció en CAD paramètric 3D i disseny d’un motor de cicle Wankel, un motor rotatiu de combustió interna emprat en automòbils com models històrics de la marca de vehicles Mazda.
