Aprovechamiento de un residuo papelero para la obtención de nanocelulosa

Abstract

La constante búsqueda de mejoras productivas en la industria papelera y la creciente concienciación de la sociedad por los problemas derivados del uso de materiales procedentes de la industria petroquímica, hace que científicamente hablando, haya un aumento en el interés de encontrar materiales renovables que los sustituyan. La biomasa lignocelulósica aparece en diversos estudios como una alternativa sostenible debido a su alta renovabilidad, abundancia, biodegradabilidad y su bajo coste. Un residuo típico de la industria del papel es el que procede de los fangos producidos en la depuración de aguas. Este residuo suele tener un alto contenido en material lignocelulósico. El presente estudio se presenta como una opción de reaprovechamiento de un residuo industrial, obteniendo un biomaterial nanocelulósico, gracias a tratamientos enzimáticos con celulasas y procesos mecánicos
