Abstract

Los vehículos con motor de combustión interna son unos importantes generadores de 〖CO〗_2 y 〖NO〗_x. En el caso del transporte pesado por carreteras, llamado Heavy Duty Vehicle (HDV), corresponde el 27% de emisiones de dióxido de carbono. Las restricciones medioambientales han aumentado a lo largo de los años, debido a esto se han intentado encontrar diferentes alternativas a los combustibles fósiles como son el GLP, GNC o GNL. En este proyecto se realiza el diseño y las simulaciones pertinentes para poder validar el diseño de un mezclador de diésel y GLP, el cual ha de conseguir formar una mezcla homogénea de ambos combustibles antes de ser inyectados en la cámara de combustión. Este mezclador forma parte de un sistema mayor de Dual Fuel, en el cual también habrá un separador para poder retornar los combustibles que no han sido utilizados a sus respectivos tanques de almacenamiento.

Els vehicles amb motor de combustió interna són importants generadors de 〖CO〗_2 i 〖NO〗_x. En el cas del transport pesat per carreteres, anomenat Heavy Duty Vehicle (HDV), correspon el 27% d’emissions de diòxid de carboni. Les restriccions medioambientals han augmentat al llarg dels anys, i per aquest motiu s’han intentat trobar diferents alternatives als combustibles fòssils com són el GLP, GNC o GNL. En aquest projecte es realitza el disseny i les simulacions pertinents per aconseguir validar el disseny d’un mesclador de dièsel i GLP, el qual ha d’aconseguir formar una barreja homogènia d’ambdós combustibles abans de ser injectats a la càmara de combustió. Aquest mesclador forma part d’un sistema major de Dual Fuel, en el qual també hi haurà un separador per poder retornar els combustibles que no s’hagin utilitzat als seus respectius tancs d’emmagatzematge.

Vehicles with an internal combustion engine are important generators of 〖CO〗_2 and 〖NO〗_x. In the case of heavy road transport, called Heavy Duty Vehicle (HDV), corresponds to 27% of carbon dioxide emissions. Environmental restrictions have increased over the years, due to which attempts have been made to find different alternatives to fossil fuels such as LPG, CNG or LNG. In this project, the relevant design and simulations are performed in order to validate the design of a diesel and LPG mixer, which must be able to form a homogeneous mixture of both fuels before being injected into the combustion chamber. This mixer is part of a larger Dual Fuel system, in which there will also be a separator to return unused fuels to their respective storage tanks.
