Abstract

CIUDAD SILVESTRE presenta un conjunto de textos escritos después del confi- namiento sanitario a causa de la COVID-19. Una situación excepcional que nos permitió durante tres meses un cierto distanciamiento frente a la realidad en la que estamos inmer- sos, aquella que «prefiere la imagen a la cosa, la copia al original, la representación a la realidad, la apariencia al ser» y que nos hizo reflexionar sobre algunos problemas estéticos y morales que siguen hoy en día secundando nuestras ciudades y la naturaleza que en ellas habita. A través de dos conceptos algo periféricos como el Terrain vague —espacios que surgen de la desarticulación de la ciudad contemporánea— y el de Tercer paisaje —naturaleza que persiste cohibida dentro de ciudad que compartimos—, recuperaremos ciertos debates como la condición política del paisaje urbano o la interrelación que debería existir entre la organización social y los ecosistemas naturales —lejos de reflexiones inocuas que sus- cita el urbanismo táctico de catálogo— que de forma inconsciente enmiendan el modelo sobre el que se construye la ciudad del día a día. Como dijo Bauman «Sabemos que estamos en la cuerda floja, sabemos qué es de lo que queremos deshacernos, pero no tenemos idea alguna de con qué otro tipo de sociedad queremos reemplazarlo. En estos tiempos, la gente evita las discusiones que se refieran a las bases de una “buena sociedad”: lo único que hacen es reaccionar a las crisis, es decir, a la última crisis y a la crisis actual. Esto se explica por el hecho de que vivimos bajo la tiranía del tiempo: las crisis se siguen una a otra de forma extremadamente rápida; antes de resolver una, ya tenemos un pie en la siguiente.»
