In this master thesis, we present examples of additive nonlinear MDS codes over nonprime fields. Moreover, we prove the MDS conjecture for additive nonlinear codes for the alphabets F9 and F16, preserving linearity over F4 in the latter case. Finally, we explore the connection between additive codes and quantum error-correcting codes.
