Abstract

The trend of using electric scooters on small journeys has increased considerably in recent years, thanks to the introduction of cheaper and more efficient products on the market, causing the type of mobility that has existed in cities to begin to be reconsidered. The boom of car rental companies for both personal mobility and scooters, including motorcycles and even cars, has caused more doubts about the mobility of cities and the public administration. This project aims to find a design solution for a new model of urban mobility by managing the parking and charging of electric scooters. The proposal obtained adapts to the plans to reduce emissions and sustainable mobility of cities by implementing a platform for parking and charging electric scooters taking advantage of spaces for parking spaces in indoor parking lots, taking advantage of spaces that will be affected by the transformation of transport. The compartments of the platform are completely closed and all the interaction with the user is done through an app, reducing resources and adapting to the technological revolution. It is also modularly designed and has an electropiston closure system.
