Diagnóstico de fallos y control tolerante de sistemas dinámicos

Abstract

Con el incremento del grado de dependencia de la sociedad moderna de los sistemas (automóviles, aviones, trenes, ascensores, etc.) y procesos tecnológicos complejos (redes de distribución y producción de energía, agua, etc.), su disponibilidad y correcto f uncionamiento se ha convertido en una cuestión estratégica. Su incorrecto funcionamiento puede provocar pérdidas económicas, peligro para los operadores, inconvenientes para los usuarios, etc. Además, la automatización de los mismos mediante lazos de contr ol automático, si bien ha permitido liberar a los operadores humanos de su control y operación manual, no los ha inmunizado frente a los fallos . El objetivo que persiguen todos los métodos de detección y diagnóstico de fallos es caracterizar el comportamie nto de un sistema en su modo normal de funcionamiento, ya sea utilizando herramientas estadísticas, modelos cualitativos o analíticos o redes neuronales y analizar si el comportamiento actual del proceso se corresponde con su comportamiento normal. En el c aso de no correspondencia se dice que el sistema está en fallo. Los sistemas de control automático son, pues, susceptibles a los fallos pudiendo verse amplificados por el lazo de control llegando a provocar su mal funcionamiento. Además, los lazos de cont rol pueden ocultar los fallos evitando ser observados hasta alcanzar un grado tal que produzcan una avería irreparable que obligue a detener del sistema o proceso. Por ello existe una creciente necesidad e interés en desarrollar sistemas de control que pue dan operar de forma aceptable incluso después de la aparición de un fallo y que sean capaces de parar el proceso antes de que se originen daños irreparables en el mismo. A este tipo de sistemas de control se les denomina tolerantes a fallos . Este trabajo presenta unas definiciones de esta importante temática, describe el estado del arte de las técnicas existentes de diagnóstico y control tolerante a fallos de si stemas dinámicos y detalla un ejemplo de su aplicación experimentado por nuestro grupo de investigación.
