Optimizadores de potencia para sistemas fotovoltaicos basados en convertidores de potencia parcial

Abstract

Hay una tendencia creciente en la industria PV a migrar de soluciones centralizadas a soluciones con un control del MPPT más distribuido. Este hecho se debe al gran impacto en el rendimiento energético que provoca el sombreado parcial y a la reducción continua del costo de la electrónica de potencia. A raíz de esto, los optimizadores de potencia, convertidores dc-dc que trabajan a nivel modular y mantienen el panel en su MPP, han generado un gran interés tanto a nivel comercial como académico. Sin embargo, al aumentar la distribución de la electrónica se incrementa el número de etapas de conversión de energía, y por ende las pérdidas en la etapa de conversión y el costo. El concepto de convertidores de potencia parcial (PPC), el cual está enfocado en reducir la cantidad de potencia procesada en la etapa dc, busca reducir esta cantidad de pérdidas y también el costo del sistema. En el presente trabajo se analizan las distintas configuraciones de convertidores parciales y su desempeño trabajando como optimizadores de potencia. Además, se analizan dos topologías basadas en un puente H, una elevadora y otra reductora, cada una en su configuración más óptima. A partir de estas, se propone y analiza una nueva topología elevadora y reductora que permita trabajar de forma más óptima con las variaciones de tensión que se pueden necesitar en un optimizador de potencia. Por último, se presenta en esta memoria el funcionamiento de una herramienta desarrollada para asistir en el diseño más óptimo y rápido de optimizadores de potencia basados en convertidores parciales.
