Estudi, disseny i fabricació d’una bicicleta de materials compostos i de fosa d’alumini

Abstract

[ANGLÈS] This project explains the study and design of a Fixie bicycle of composite materials and aluminium casting elements, low-cost and easy to assemble. To achieve the objectives, a study will be made of the different parts that make up a bicycle and its operation. Subsequently, the design of the dynamics of the bicycle will be studied and evaluated in great depth and the different types of composite materials used, as the ergonomy. The design process consisted of the study and modeling of each component for its m anufacture in aluminum casting. This will be done on a CAD program; specifying the different versions that have been carried out to reach the final design, the material used, the general characteristics and simulations performed to verify the component. Finally, the manufacturing process will be explained, and a budget will be documented to analyse the costs of realizing this project, as well as an industrialization plan for 10.000 units.
