Modelo tridimensional, renderización y sistema de información arqueológico de las termas romanas de Badalona

Abstract

Este proyecto surge por un interés personal hacia la rama de la fotogrametría. Nuestro objetivo era aplicarla para crear un modelo tridimensional del terreno, en nuestro caso, de las Termas Romanas de Baétulo, que se encuentran en el sótano del Museo de Badalona. Elegimos estas ruinas romanas porque nuestra intención era hacer un levantamiento de algún edificio histórico (iglesias, ábsides, construcciones de diferentes estilos arquitectónicos, etc). Nos pusimos en contacto con el Ayuntamiento de Badalona y nos facilitaron todo tipo de documentación y de permisos para acceder tanto al museo como a las termas. Además de un modelo tridimensional, complementamos el proyecto con un sistema de información arqueológico (SIA) que muestra información sobre el estado actual de las termas (características y funciones de las salas, dimensiones, etc). Tanto el modelo tridimensional como el SIA de este proyecto pueden ampliarse, ya que se están realizando nuevos descubrimientos de ruinas romanas cercanas a la zona del museo. Actualmente no se puede acceder a ellas porque se encuentran en período de excavación pero, en un futuro, los hallazgos también pueden ser objeto de un trabajo similar al que hemos realizado.
