Estudio y determinación de las condiciones óptimas para la recuperación de colorantes dispersos mediante bioadsorbentes

Abstract

Uno de los principales problemas que presenta la industria textil es la coloración de las aguas residuales provenientes de las empresas de tintura por lo que en este proyecto se determina el tratamiento químico óptimo para que el bioadsorbente final obtenido mediante cáscara de naranja ofrezca el máximo rendimiento posible en cuanto a la eliminación de colorantes dispersos de efluentes de la industria tintorera textil. Con este objetivo, se estudia la incorporación de calcio, la extracción de materia orgánica de la cáscara de naranja y la eliminación de azúcares reductores mediante la realización de diferentes tratamientos químicos. Para ello se ha modificado la granulometría inicial de la cáscara de naranja, se ha estudiado la influencia de la adición de peróxido de hidrogeno y la cantidad de hidróxido de calcio añadida en el proceso de saponificación y entrecruzamiento. Posteriormente, se estudia la eficacia del bioadsorbente como intercambiador iónico con disoluciones sintéticas de Cu(II), así como la eficacia de adsorción superficial con el colorante disperso C.I. Disperse Blue 56 realizando distintos tratamientos químicos al bioadsorbente. Se estudia la adsorción de colorante disperso a pHs de 4, 6 y 10 unidades tanto con bioadsorbente inicial (cáscara de naranja sin tratamiento químico) como con bioadsorbente final (cáscara de naranja sometida a tratamiento químico). Finalmente, se realiza un estudio del comportamiento del colorante cuando éste interactúa con el bioadsorbente inicial a pH inferior a 4.
