Diseño de una silla de ruedas adaptable

Abstract

El objetivo del presente trabajo es llevar a cabo el diseño de una silla de ruedas adaptable para personas con movilidad reducida en las extremidades inferiores. Se realiza un diseño ergonómico (basado en las reglas constructivas actuales de las sillas de ruedas) y adaptado, lo que permite la regulación de las diferentes partes. De esta forma, el chasis es regulable en longitud y en su posición con respecto a los apoyos de los pies. Los reposapiés son regulables y sus sandalias reclinables y extraíbles. En cuanto a las ruedas, la delantera cuenta con tres posiciones útiles para adaptarse a diferentes terrenos y la trasera es extraíble y regulable en posición. Se eligen las dimensiones (servidas como punto de partida) en base a un estudio antropométrico de la sociedad española. Se premia el uso de elementos de compra y normalizados para abaratar costes y se crea la estructura del chasis con tubos extruidos huecos de dimensiones calibradas que posteriormente se cortarán, doblarán y mecanizaran según las exigencias del diseño. La base metálica se fabrica con acero inoxidable X5CrNi1810 basando el criterio de elección en tres criterios fundamentales: aligerar el peso total de la estructura, abaratar costes y asegurar una buena soldabilidad entre sus partes. Se analiza el diseño de la estructura del chasis a flexión y compresión, verificando la resistencia a rotura de cada una de las barras. Por último, se propone un modelo de reutilización de cada uno de los componentes para reducir el impacto ambiental del proceso de fabricación
