Relación aguas superficiales–aguas subterráneas y recarga del acuífero de Los Sotos, Doñana, España

Abstract

La relación aguas superficiales–aguas subterráneas en áreas con niveles freáticos someros requiere un buen conocimiento de la topografía y de las formas en que tiene lugar la recarga y la descarga. Cuando éstas están alteradas por una explotación intensiva del acuífero, lo que se observa puede diferir notablemente del estado natural y de lo que muestran los rasgos residuales del mismo. Tal es la situación en el área de Los Sotos, del Parque Nacional de Doñana (Huelva), donde la relación aguas superficiales–aguas subterráneas está alterada, no sólo por extracciones de agua subterránea profunda para riego en áreas próximas, sino también por los excedentes de riego que se generan y la red de canalizaciones para gestionar dichos excedentes, y a causa de grandes cambios en la cobertera vegetal. La evaluación de la recarga local lleva a valores medios en torno a 150 mm/a. La modelación del flujo del agua subterránea incluye relaciones variables entre los arroyos y el nivel freático. Se ha abordado en estado estacionario para delimitar losrasgos dominantes del funcionamiento de los arroyos con respecto al nivel freático y los cambios respecto a la situación natural.
