Intermodalidad y baja densidad: teoría nodal aplicada a las urbanizaciones de baja densidad

Abstract

El modelo de urbanización que se ha ido desarrollando en el siglo XX a lo largo del litoral no responde a un crecimiento organizado del territorio, en tanto que se han ido creando nuevos sectores especializados en segunda residencia alejados del núcleo central, donde se encuentran los servicios, comercios, etc. Debido a esto se produce un uso, más que extendido, del vehículo privado para la gran mayoría de los desplazamientos de los residentes de las urbanizaciones. Esta disfunción que se da entre vehículo privado y transporte público en el modelo de movilidad nos ha llevado a estudiar las relaciones que establecen ambos modos de transporte con el territorio, llegando a una nueva teoría de aplicación de la movilidad en este tipo de urbanizaciones. Crear centros satélite estratégicamente distribuidos en el entorno urbanizado de baja densidad, donde promover el comercio cotidiano, combinando paradas de autobús con conexión rápida y directa a las estaciones intermodales de transporte regional. Esto permite una redefinición de las líneas de autobús, asociadas a estacionamientos Park&Bus, haciéndolas más eficientes y competitivas con el vehículo privado y, fomentando así, la intermodalidad en el territorio donde el coche ha dominado históricamente.
