Análisis de la rugosidad de una superficie utilizando speckle

Abstract

La rugosidad de la superficie del papel es un parámetro sumamente importante en la fabricación del papel. La medida de rugosidad de la superficie es uno de los problemas centrales en la industria del papel. Actualmente, el método estándar para la evaluación de la rugosidad empleado se basa en los métodos de flujo de aire (Bendtsen, Bekk, Sheffiled y Parker Print Surf). En el trabajo presentamos un método de medida de la rugosidad de papeles basado en el análisis de la textura del patrón de speckle formado sobre la superficie. Para ello utilizamos un total de 8 muestras de papel de diferentes grados de rugosidad. Las imágenes son capturadas por medio de una sencilla configuración utilizando un láser, un expansor de haz y una camera CCD. La rugosidad de la superficie es extraída utilizando el contraste de los niveles de gris de la imagen del patrón de speckle. Esta técnica supone un paso hacia la inspección genérica de superficies, aumentando los beneficios potenciales, tanto económicos, como de reducción de riesgos para humanos, utilizando un sistema de inspección sencillo y de bajo coste.
