Chatbots are disrupting the market to substitute traditional channels of interaction between businesses and customers. People nowadays are using messaging apps more than never before and when booking a flight, ordering a pizza or whatever the transaction, in many cases companies has a chatbot there, 24/7, ready to chat and give a service. This project consists on the development of InduBot, a chatbot to respond to student’s demands when searching academic information about the university. In this final report it is explained the followed phases to design, develop and implement the functional prototype. InduBot is intended to be a first step and a base for developing other chatbots to connect the university with the students. The resulting chatbot for this project can be found on the messaging app Telegram by searching TheInduBot. It has been configured to be always running on a server as a web application and through a webhook and the Telegram Bot API answer at any time to user requests. The university should be ready for chatbots and contemplate this new channel of communication because it may be the key to transform the relationship with the students in the coming years.
