Abstract

En todo el mundo, el empleo de Hormigones Autocompactantes (HAC) ha tenido una gran aceptación en la industria de los prefabricados, no así en el caso de la industria del hormigón preparado donde se evidencia un uso reducido del HAC. Ello se debe a que por lo general las mezclas presentan altos contenidos de finos, lo cual se traduce en mezclas con altos contenidos de cemento portland, y consecuentemente, altos valores de resistencias (40-70 MPa), mucho mayores a las estrictamente requeridas por proyecto. De esta forma, el costo de los componentes que conforman un HAC es alto comparativamente con los de un hormigón convencional de igual resistencia. El estudio de HAC con valores de resistencias del rango 25-35 MPa y de costo reducido, resulta de gran interés debido a que dicho rango de resistencias es el más utilizado en la elaboración del hormigón convencional en el mercado del hormigón preparado. HAC de estas características podrían resultar muy competitivos en dicho sector, tanto desde el punto de vista técnico como económico. Por ello el presente trabajo desarrolla un planteo conceptual, en donde se proponen criterios sobre cómo diseñar un HAC de resistencias medias (25-35 MPa), a través del camino de la vía física y teniendo presente las condiciones de entorno. Para ello se utiliza un filler local (polvo de electrofiltro) y se estudian comparativamente 6 dosificaciones de HAC. Se presentan resultados, en estado fresco y endurecido, de los hormigones realizados empleando el planteo conceptual desarrollado.
