Abstract

Los anticuerpos monoclonales son glucoproteínas especializadas producidas por las células B con la capacidad de reconocer moléculas específicas, denominadas antígenos. En los últimos años, los anticuerpos monoclonales se han convertido en herramientas esenciales en el ámbito clínico y biotecnológico y han probado ser útiles en el diagnóstico y tratamiento de enfermedades infecciosas, inmunológicas y neoplásicas. Actualmente, la incorporación de las técnicas de biología molecular e ingeniería genética y proteica han permitido ampliar el horizonte de la generación de anticuerpos monoclonales y sus usos y, se han encontrado técnicas como la hibridación, la quimerización la humanización y la producción de anticuerpos monoclonales totalmente humanos. En el presente trabajo se realiza un estudio bilbiográfico sobre los diferentes tipos de anticuerpos monoclonales existentes en el mercado, evaluando tanto su economía como la durabilidad de su patente. Además, se seleccionan dos de ellos para estudiar sus propiedades farmacológicas, sus indicaciones y contraindicaciones y su proceso productivo. El estudio contará con el diseño y dimensionado de los equipos necesarios tanto para la síntesis como para la purificación del producto y, finalmente, se realizará un estudio sobre el presupuesto y la viabilidad económica del proyecto.
