Battery Management System (BMS) para un coche de Formula Student

Abstract

Este trabajo consiste en la realización de un BMS que es capaz de medir todos los voltajes y temperaturas de las celdas que componen una batería, la intensidad de ésta, balancear sus celdas y estimar su estado de carga (SoC) a partir de una combinación del open circuit voltaje(OCV) y el Coulomb Counting. Se ha realizado sobre una batería de 12 celdas de LiFePO4, pero se han establecido las bases para ampliar el BMS y que sea compatible con una batería de un coche de Formula Student. Se han hecho diferentes tests de las medidas realizadas, de balanceo, de descarga y de la estimación del SoC. Estos dos últimos tests han sido posibles gracias al diseño y fabricación de un sistema para descargar la batería a diferentes intensidades para comprobar el correcto funcionamiento del BMS. El sistema final permite medir correctamente el voltaje y la temperatura y hace el balanceo pasivo. En lo que concierne a la medida de corriente, hay un error que se ve reflejado en la estimación del SoC a partir del Coulomb Counting aunque el OCV funciona correctamente. Por último, se han propuesto varias mejoras tanto en la realización de medidas como en la estimación del SoC como en posibles funcionalidades que podría tener un futuro BMS.
