Abstract

El presente trabajo final de máster tiene como objetivo la definición del sistema de estabilización más apropiado para una nave de gran velocidad (NGV) concreta, e identificar las ventajas e inconvenientes que la instalación de dicho sistema conlleva, con la finalidad de sustentar una hipotética decisión de la alta dirección de la empresa de incorporar dicho sistema al buque. Para poder alcanzar el objetivo fijado durante el desarrollo del presente trabajo se describen los sistemas de estabilización que tradicionalmente viene utilizando la industria en este tipo de buques, estableciendo cuales serían los más adecuados al buque tomado como referencia. A continuación se detalla la especificación del mismo y se analizan las características de la ruta en la que opera y la regulación aplicable. A su vez, se detallan las incidencias que se prevé que tenga sobre el buque la instalación de los sistemas de estabilización, tanto positivos (incremento confort pasajeros, reducción cancelaciones al incrementar las limitaciones operacionales) y negativas (inversión económica, aumento consumo combustible, incremento coste y complejidad del mantenimiento), al objeto de que la alta dirección de la empresa dispongo de los criterios técnicos necesarios para poder tomar a decisión más adecuada.
