Diseño térmico y mecánico de un intercambiador de calor

Abstract

En el presente proyecto se diseñará un intercambiador de calor que pueda realizar un proceso determinado. El intercambiador que se diseñe deberá resolver un problema o cubrir una necesidad real que se de en la industria actualmente. Se hará un estudio previo de los modos de transferencia de calor y los tipos de intercambiadores, con el fin de poder entender mejor cómo funcionan estas máquinas y cuáles son los distintos tipos que se encuentran en el mercado. Este estudio ayudará a identificar cuáles son las fortalezas y debilidades de cada tipo de intercambiador para luego poder seleccionar uno de ellos y proceder al diseño del mismo. El diseño se realizará tanto térmicamente (utilizando las fórmulas y conceptos básicos de transferencia de calor) como mecánicamente (utilizando criterios de resistencia de materiales o códigos o normas de diseño en el caso de haberlas), de modo que no quede nada por definir y el equipo pueda ser fabricado con esta documentación. Con el diseño terminado, se indicarán los pasos que se deben seguir para legalizar el equipo, el impacto medioambiental del mismo, los fallos y/o accidentes que puedan surgir y un estudio económico para valorar el precio final que tendría realizar este diseño.
