Conformado por deformación plástica severa de aceros

Abstract

La deformación plástica severa es un método de conformado metálico por el cual se obtienen materiales de grano ultrafino a partir de estructuras con tamaño de grano mucho mayor. Hay varias técnicas dentro de la familia de la deformación plástica severa. La más destacada es la de ECAP “Equal Channel Angular Extrusion” por sus grandes ventajas. Dicho proceso se lleva a cabo en una matriz constituida por dos mitades que contienen un canal angular, en forma de “L”, por el que se hace pasar una barra mecanizada, de sección transversal igual a la del canal y gracias a la acción de un punzón. La intensa cizalladura que sufre el material a su paso por el “codo” de la matriz es la responsable del afinamiento de grano, objeto de esta tecnología. Así, se consiguen importantes aumentos de la resistencia mecánica del material sin cambiar su geometría. En este trabajo, se ha estudiado el comportamiento a deformación plástica severa, por ECAP, del acero inoxidable AISI 316L, aplicando una ruta BA, es decir, colocando la probeta mecanizada a 90 grados respecto de su posición anterior cada vez que se realiza la pasada en la misma probeta.
