Obtenció de topologies pel disseny de filtres de microones

Abstract

The microwave filter is an electronic circuit that selects a range of frequencies of the received signal which operates between 300 MHz and 300GHz. Is a circuit that‟s defined by polynomials characteristics which it can be used to create matrix that mathematically reproduced the filter. These matrixes are called coupling matrixes and represent the connections that occur between the resonators that make up the filter. Our “TFC” works on this matrix. From the coupling transversal matrix N+2 and folded, we don‟t synthesis them, we obtain through matrix rotation, new types of filters. Then we can say that the aim of this “TFC” is to obtain six different configurations, specifically: the symmetric inline, asymmetric inline, “pfitzenmaier”, cascaded quartet (CQs), cul-de-sac and trisections. This document will presented the mathematical development of these new types of microwave filters and their implementations in matlab. Our work will be used as a complement for the “New Class of Receiver filter for Space applications” (NCRS). NCRS is a project of the UPC for the European Space Agency (ESA), is based on obtaining filters with ideals responses that take into account the inherent losses of material for space applications. The path we‟ve followed in order to structure the project has been the following: First of all, give an overview of microwave filters where we have brought in the needed concepts to understand the work done. Secondly, we explain the transformation basis where we detail the process of the rotation matrix. And last we present a descriptive guide of the obtained configurations from the own generalization of the particular cases of each ones.
