Influencia del envejecimiento sobre la estabilidad estructural de bolas de Ce-TZP

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo consiste en ayudar a comprender la influencia del envejecimiento del material de bolas que sirven para el proceso industrial de molienda de CaCO3 sobre la estabilidad estructural (propiedades mecánicas). Con este fin se han realizado una serie de ensayos y de análisis para comprender los fenómenos de degradación del material. El material estudiado fue circona tetragonal estabilizada con Ceria (Ce-TZP). El material Ce-TZP presenta una tenacidad muy alta, debido a su transformabilidad importante. El aspecto físico exterior del material nos ha permitido escoger el método de análisis. Hemos estudiado pequeñas bolas de Ce-TZP de tamaño de 1 mm de diámetro así que hemos hecho ensayos muy precisos como microindentaciones. El análisis de imágenes nos ha permitido determinar la morfología de las bolas. Antes de llevar a cabo un ensayo debe realizarse una verificación del tamaño media de las bolas para probar los datos del fabricante. Para el análisis de las bolas se han utilizado una autoclave para simular un envejecimiento en condiciones de uso de las bolas de Ce- TZP. Unos de los ensayos realizados fue una espectroscopia RAMAN para comprobar si aparece transformación de fase que pudo modificar las propiedades mecánicas del material. Se realizó también un ensayo de scratch test para analizar el comportamiento mecánico del material.
