Optimización de una cadena de suministro

Abstract

El presente proyecto se ha realizado bajo un convenio de cooperación educativa entre Universidad y Empresa en una planta de productos químicos de una compañía de gran consumo. El proyecto se basa en la optimización de una cadena de suministro a través de la eliminación de las pérdidas existentes, entendiendo como pérdidas todas las operaciones que no dan valor añadido al producto final. La metodología usada es el Value Stream Mapping, una herramienta del Lean Manufacturing. La primera parte del proyecto es una introducción teórica, para entender qué es el Value Stream Mapping y cuáles son los objetivos y principios del Lean Manufacturing. En la segunda parte se analizan las pérdidas de la cadena de suministro mediante la realización del Value Stream Mapping del estado actual. La principal pérdida que aparece es la sobreproducción, seguida de otras como el inventario y la espera. En la tercera parte se identifican y se implementan las mejoras necesarias para eliminar las pérdidas y se elabora el Value Stream Mapping del estado futuro. Se estudia del coste económico del proyecto y se analiza el impacto medio ambiental que pueda tener. Finalmente se presentan los resultados de la optimización de la cadena de suministro que son en resumen: reducción de costes, disminución de inventario y mejora de la relación entre los distintos departamentos.
