Realitat virtual immersiva aplicada a l'aprenentatge de geometria de l'espai

Abstract

Aquest projecte forma part d’una investigació: “Exploració de l’ús d’un entorn immersiu virtual d’aprenentatge per a la millora de la habilitat espacial y del coneixement de la geometria de l’espai. (Alpiste, F. Torner, J. Brigos, M, Fernández, J. Embodas, R.). Ens proposem investigar les possibilitats d'utilitzar entorns virtuals immersius per millorar l'habilitat espacial dels estudiants d'enginyeria a partir de l'estudi de la geometria de l'espai (solid geometry). La hipòtesi que es vol contrastar és que els estudiants que utilitzen l'entorn IVLE (Immersive Virtual Learning Environment) presenten una millora significativa de les habilitats espacials així com dels resultats acadèmics respecte d'aquells que no l'utilitzen. Això ens permetrà prescriure en un futur la utilització de IVLE per millorar les habilitats espacials. En particular, en aquest TFG es desenvolupen les aplicacions IVLE necessàries per dur a terme la investigació. En primer lloc, s’introdueixen els conceptes bàsics i l’entorn d’aplicació a l’aprenentatge, es descriu el maquinari i el programari emprat, s’incorporen els guions de geometria de l’espai i es documenta la seva adaptació a l’entorn de desenvolupament. A més, es descriuen les sessions lectives desenvolupades i es finalitza amb un estudi de costos de l’experiència.
