Abstract

[CASTELLÀ] En este trabajo se presenta un prototipo de bajo coste que implementa la nueva norma IEEE 802.15.7 para Comunicaciones con luz visible(VLC). La plataforma de desarrollo MBED se ha utilizado para implementar el firmware que controla el sistema. El sistema se ha probado con diferentes luminarias LED logrando velocidades de datos de 100 kbps hasta una distancia de hasta 8 metros. Se ha logrado el control de brillo del LED transmitiendo simultaneament datos lo que permite un sistema de VLC de espectro sintonizable.

En aquest treball es presenta un prototip de baix cost que implementa la nova norma IEEE 802.15.7 per a Comunicacions amb llum visible (VLC). La plataforma de desenvolupament MBED s'ha utilitzat per implementar el firmware que controla el sistema. El sistema s'ha provat amb diferents lluminàries LED aconseguint velocitats de dades de 100 kbps fins a una distància de fins a 8 metres. S'ha aconseguit el control de brillantor del LED transmetent simultaneament dades el que permet un sistema de VLC d'espectre sintonitzable.

[ANGLÈS] This work presents a low cost prototype implementing new IEEE 802.15.7 standard for Visible Light Communications (VLC). Mbed development platform is used to implement the firmware controlling the system. The system is tested with different LED luminaires achieving data rates of 100 kbps over a distance up to 8 meters. Brightness control of the LED while transmitting data can be achieved allowing for a tuneable VLC system.
