Analyses of bending moment redistribution in continuous steel-concrete composite beams for both, class 1 and class 2 cross sections. The influence of different parameters such as the degree of connection, type of loading, local buckling criteria and mechanical properties of the components materials are analysed. The results are compared with the limits stated by current codes such as Eurocode 4 and AISC 360-05. At the expense of the results, these limits seem to be unconservative for some cases under specific circumstances.
