Abstract

El projecte consisteix en un centre cultural situat al casc antic de la ciutat de Cuenca. L'estratègia principal del projecte està lligada a la configuració del carrer principal, el carrer Trabuco. En aquest carrer es generen espais buits i és per això que l'edifici públic, en planta baixa, presenta també espais amb la finalitat de miradors. Llavors, per tal de generar un edifici sòlid, s'uneixen les diferents parts del centre cultural a través d'una planta superior. L'edifici soluciona el pendent del carrer assentant-se a diferents nivells. Pel que fa a la distribució interior, aquest presenta principalment dos nuclis que engloben els serveis, les instal•lacions i les connexions verticals, fent d'aquesta manera que la resta de l'edifici pugui esdevenir en espais flexibles. Finalment, entrant en detall, el centre està dotat d'una sala de conferències, una sala d'exposicions lligada a unes aules de formació, un extens bar ateneu i una biblioteca de barri que conforma la planta superior de l'equipament públic.
