This paper introduces a simple numerical model for the dynamic analysis of framed structures under non-linear force boundary ,conditions. The model is based upon a generalization of the usual matrix structural analysis and it uses an explicit time integration scheme. The application of this model to both the analysis of bridges under moving loads and to the study of offshore platforms is discussed. Finally, the results of three sample microcomputer analyses are presented.
