Aproximación de funciones implícitas de decisión por medio de máquinas de soporte vectorial

Abstract

Tanto en sistemas mecánicos como estructurales, los análisis de optimización, de confiabilidad y de estabilidad dinámica se formulan en términos de funciones, generalmente no lineales, que definen la separación entre dominios. En el caso de optimización los dominios son los de diseño viable e inviable, en el estudio de confiabilidad son los de diseño seguro e inseguro y en la estabilidad dinámica los de estable o inestable. Al emplear programas de cálculo numérico como los basados en elementos finitos o elementos de contorno, dichas funciones se presentan de manera implícita. Sin embargo, para todos los análisis mencionados conviene que se hagan explícitas con el fin de reducir el costo de computación. Por ello es importante aproximarlas lo mejor posible por una técnica que requiera un mínimo esfuerzo de cálculo. En este trabajo se propone lograr este propósito por medio la técnica conocida como máquinas de soporte vectorial, desarrollada en las áreas de reconocimiento de patrones y de aprendizaje estadístico, que ha encontrado gran aplicación en el análisis de imágenes y de señales. Para ello se ha desarrollado un algoritmo que permite su aplicación de excelente precisión con un número reducido de llamadas del algoritmo de cálculo estructural. Esto tiene su fundamento en la flexibilidad y la insensibilidad a la dimensionalidad del problema que caracterizan a dichas máquinas de aprendizaje.
