Diseño de muestras en encuestas de población y hogares

Abstract

En este articulo se presenta el esquema general del diseño muestral que el Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE) utiliza en las encuestas dirigidas a la población. Este diseño se conoce como Encuesta General de Población y fue implantado en el año 1971, aunque desde entonces ha sufrido ligeros cambios en cuanto a la periodicidad, criterios de estratificación, tamaño, etc. Se utiliza tanto para las encuestas de tipo continuo (encuestas coyunturales) como de tipo esporádico (encuestas estructurales).
